Product Introduction
This custom round tea tin is intended for loose-leaf tea, tea blends and tea gift sets. The photographed format has straight sidewalls and a broad removable lid, providing space for brand artwork on both the lid and body. Wrapped candy or other dry products may also be packed in this format when their layout and contact requirements are reviewed.
The tin diameter, height and usable internal capacity should be set according to the tea format and target fill weight. Lid fit, interior finish and any liner should be confirmed before sampling.
Product Structure and Internal Support
The main sizing decision is how much space the tea occupies after filling. Loose leaves, rolled tea and tea bags can have very different packing volumes at the same weight. Confirm:
- Tea format and target fill weight
- Preferred diameter, height and headspace
- Removable-lid depth, fit and opening force
- Loose-fill, bagged or individually wrapped packing
- Inner bag, liner or other support requirements
- Filling method and product removal
- Artwork areas on the lid and sidewall
A filled sample should be checked before approving capacity. The removable lid does not, by itself, establish airtightness or a specific shelf life.
Applications
This format can be developed for loose-leaf tea, tea blends, tea bags and seasonal tea gift sets. It may also accommodate wrapped candy or dry gift assortments after the contents, internal layout and material requirements are confirmed.
Custom Size, Printing and Finish
Options may include CMYK or PMS / Pantone offset printing, glossy or matte finish, metallic effects and embossed or debossed logos. The broad lid can carry the main brand design, while the sidewall provides space for tea variety, product information or coordinated artwork across a range.
Artwork should be prepared on the confirmed dieline. Print position near formed edges and the lid overlap should be checked on a sample. For direct contact with tea, the interior finish and any required testing must be assessed for the actual contents and destination market.
Can We Use an Existing Mould?
We first compare the target diameter, height, lid structure and required capacity with available round tin moulds. If an existing mould fits the tea and leaves suitable headspace, artwork and interior options can be developed around it. Custom tooling can be discussed when the required capacity or lid structure cannot be matched.

Manufacturing Procedure
Product and fill-weight brief → existing mould check → structure and capacity review → sample filling → artwork preparation → printed sample approval → production and QC tracking → packing and delivery.
Quality checks should cover roundness, lid fit, edge condition, interior finish, print alignment and protection against scratching during shipment.

FAQ
Can one tin size hold different tea varieties?
Possibly, but each variety should be fill-tested because leaf shape and packing density affect usable capacity.
Will the lid keep tea airtight?
Airtightness must be confirmed through the finished lid, liner and filled-package testing. It cannot be determined from the tin’s appearance.
Can we use an existing mould?
We check available round moulds against the required capacity and lid structure before discussing custom tooling.
