Custom Round Musical Tin Box for Christmas Gifts
This custom round musical tin box combines printed tin packaging with a built-in music mechanism, making it suitable for Christmas chocolates, cookies, confectionery, seasonal gift sets and promotional packaging.
The upper section is used for the packed product, while the music mechanism is installed in the base. When activated, the mechanism plays a melody and can be combined with a rotating structure for an interactive gift experience.
A standard Christmas tune such as “Jingle Bells” can be used, or another melody can be discussed depending on the available music mechanism.
The tin diameter, height, printing and internal support can be customized according to the product and packing method.
How Does the Musical Tin Work?
Unlike a standard round tin, a musical tin needs additional space in the bottom for the mechanical music box.
This means the overall tin height is not the same as the usable packing height. When checking the tin size, we need to consider both the space required for the product and the space occupied by the music mechanism.
For example:
Product height + packing clearance + music mechanism space = suitable tin height
Depending on the project, the tin can use manual rotation or another suitable activation method. A plastic tray, paper insert or divider can also be added to hold chocolates, cookies or other products securely above the mechanism.
Before sampling, we normally check the product dimensions, packing arrangement, music mechanism, activation method and required internal space together.

Typical tinplate thickness is approximately 0.23–0.28 mm, with the final thickness selected according to the tin size, structure, product weight and music mechanism.
For artwork, important logos, text and graphics should be positioned with the lid, rolled edges, seams and forming areas in mind.
Can We Use an Existing Mould?
Yes. If your product size is flexible, we recommend checking our existing round tin moulds first.
In many projects, an existing diameter can be retained while the tin height is adjusted to create enough space for both the packed product and the music mechanism. This can help avoid unnecessary tooling and simplify development.
New tooling may be required if the required diameter is unavailable, the existing bottom structure cannot accommodate the music mechanism, or a special lid or internal structure is needed.

Food Contact
For cookies, chocolates or other food products, please tell us whether the food will have direct contact with the tin or will be individually wrapped, packed in a bag or placed in a tray.
For direct food-contact applications, the inner coating and testing requirements should be reviewed according to the actual food and destination market.

FAQ
Can I use my own melody?
You can send us the required music as a reference. Standard melodies can be selected from available mechanisms. For a specific tune, we will check whether customization is possible according to the music mechanism and order requirements.
Does the music mechanism reduce the packing space?
Yes. The mechanism occupies part of the bottom section, so the usable internal packing height is less than the overall tin height. We check both the product and mechanism dimensions before confirming the tin height.
Can the height of an existing round tin be adjusted?
For many round tin structures, the height can be adjusted while retaining an existing diameter. We will check the required packing height and music mechanism before confirming the available option.
Do I need a new mould?
Not necessarily. We first check existing moulds according to your required diameter, height and music mechanism. New tooling is considered only when the required structure cannot be achieved with an existing mould.
