Final dimensions and internal layout should follow the actual cookies—not the outside appearance alone.
Product Overview
For a cookie project, the first decision is how many pieces the tin must hold and how they will be arranged. Cookie diameter, thickness, wrapping and any tray or divider affect the usable space. The hinge position, lid opening angle and product removal should then be checked against that layout.
Structure and Internal Support
Before sampling, confirm:
- Cookie dimensions, quantity and arrangement
- Required internal length, width, height and headspace
- Hinged-lid opening and closure preference
- Tray, paper insert or divider requirements
- Wrapped or direct-contact packing
A filled sample helps confirm capacity, lid movement and whether the contents remain properly positioned during handling. A hinged lid does not, by itself, establish an airtight seal or moisture protection.
Applications
This format may be developed for cookies, biscuits, wrapped confectionery, holiday assortments and corporate gift packs. For direct food contact, the interior finish and required documentation must be reviewed against the actual product and destination market.
Printing and Customization
The lid and side panels can be planned for customer artwork, subject to the confirmed printable area. CMYK or Pantone printing, glossy or matte finishes, metallic effects and selected embossed details can be discussed during development. Keep important text and logos clear of the hinge, formed edges and closure areas.
Can We Use an Existing Mould?
We first compare the required internal dimensions, hinge position and lid format with suitable existing moulds. If the cookie arrangement or opening structure cannot be accommodated, custom tooling can be discussed after the product layout is confirmed.
